1. How does Briony Campbell’s The Dad Project compare with Country Doctor?

They both have a linear storyline – present things chronologically.

While the subject of E. Smith was a country doctor and the subject was his involvement into his activity , the subject of B.Campbell was very personal, she as a photographer was directly emotionally involved into the story of her dying father.

They are both describing human suffering , pain , they are both unsettling , but not harsh.

2. An ending without an ending could refer to the fact that her memories ‘enrich her rather depressing her’ and her father always will have a place in her memory. And this would be I think because of photography’s involvement – the experience which was about a loss, grief has been shared and thus it has a life of it’s own.
