The legend of builder Manole

The main idea of Manole’s legend is sacrifice in the name of love. It is love for the sacred that people follow when they make a sacrifice. Generally for artists it is love for Art with capital A which is different from the usual buy-able pieces of work. In my opinion consumerism is an antithesis for sacred. And by consumerism I mean the tendency to consume, to have  that piece of art either is a photograph, a painting, a sculpture,etc
